I was fortunate to have today off and spend the afternoon in downtown Memphis. This is the famous Beale St. It is blocked off at night, with pedestrian traffic only, and drinking on the street, much like New Orleans, or Las Vegas is legal. I had a lovely BBQ lunch on a sunny Friday afternoon.
