Here I'm getting ready to board the MH-60 helo over my right shoulder. We took an hour ride over the mountains to the city of Khost
Here is me in front of a rocket bunker in Kandahar Afghanistan. These bunkers are made of cement T-wall, with sand bags on top for added protection. This one just had some added art work.

There has been a change in our address:

Captain Rinda K. Ranch-Hillis
PSC 901 Box# 15
FPO AE 09805-0001

This address will be good for the duration of our stay here! My Humidor is almost finished, when we take delivery, I will publish a photo. Off to Afghanistan next weekend, I will take photos and publish! Love everyone, and miss you all more than you know!
Another photo from the big event! Today it was 113 degrees and 74% humidity.....so I can't even say it is a dry heat! We will definately freeze to death upon our return, but miss you all! All the best!
Hey everyone!

This is from Jen's Change of Command two weeks ago. She took command USS Dextrous, a Mine Countermeasures Ship. Some of you may remember Jen from my Change of Command on the Thach, she was my Chief Engineer. Shaun and I are really proud of her! By the way...don't you think the desert cammies are slimming? I highly recommend them to all of our friends....not very cool, but functional!

My sister says: "Only the pure of heart can see the Gnome." Can you see him? Played in the pool before going to work today. The gnomes come and play in the waterfall now and then!
